While fishing is a must to do during your visit to the Leech Lake area, you will find so much to do and see that you will need to come back again! Many of our guests have taken the time to enjoy biking on the miles of paved trails starting right in Walker or rent a bike at Itasca State Park to see the Headwaters of the Mississippi. You can pack a picnic or after exploring eat at the Douglas Lodge, a beautiful historic log building built during the WPA era.

At the lake you can enjoy many water activities from the excitement of water-skiing or tubing in our protected bay, to a leisurely paddleboat or canoe ride. You could also try your hand at kayaking with some friends for a real workout. If sports are more your game, there's water-volleyball, lawn-games, horseshoes or basketball. The younger set can enjoy our beach and playground. Whatever your choice, you'll find plenty of physical activities available.

Bring your golf clubs and enjoy a challenging day at one of our area's beautiful golf courses. We can arrange your tee-times and offer specials.
